2023 CORVETTE 70TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION FOR STINGRAY AND Z06 CONFIRMED

You only turn 70 once. And when it comes to cars, few nameplates have had the privilege of doing so. A lot of the classics have been discontinued, or swapped out for a name that sounds catchier (but sometimes, it’s the opposite of catchy). Think of the great supercars of yore and of late. There is no “new” Ferrari 388. The Lamborghini Miura was one and done. Although there are exceptions; the Porsche 911 has been around since 1964, making it almost 60 years old. But go figure that there’s an American nameplate out there that surpassed that milestone nearly a decade ago: the Chevrolet Corvette. First produced in 1953, Chevrolet today officially celebrates a major Corvette milestone with the 70th Anniversary Edition. Available on both the 2023 Corvette Stingray and 2023 Corvette Z06, the 70th Anniversary Edition will be around for one model year only.

The 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition will be available in only two exterior colors unique to the package: all-new White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic. Satin Gray with the White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat and Satin Black with the Carbon Flash Metallic are available stripe colors.

These collectable Corvettes will also feature black wheels with commemorative center caps and Edge Red striping. The spoke patterns on the Stingray and Z06 models will be different, but the color theme will be the same.

The interior of the special C8 Corvette will feature two-tone Ceramic leather GT2 or Competition Sport seats, red stitching throughout, red seatbelts, and sueded microfiber seat inserts and steering wheel. In the engine bay, an Edge Red engine cover will sit atop of either the Stingray’s 6.2L LT2 V8 or the 5.5L LT6 V8 in the Z06.

Additional content includes:

  • 70th Anniversary Edition exterior badging, including special Corvette crossflags
  • Edge Red brake calipers
  • 70th Anniversary Edition logo on seats, steering wheel and sill plates
  • Rear bumper protector and trunk cover
  • Custom luggage set with red stitching and 70th Anniversary Edition logo.

All 2023 Corvette Stingray and Z06 coupes and convertibles will feature a commemorative 70th anniversary interior plaque located on the center speaker grille and a graphic imprinted on the lower rear window. This is the case even without the 70th Anniversary Edition package, in order to celebrate this historic milestone.

2023 Corvette Z06 VIN 001 To Be A 70th Anniversary Edition

The first-ever retail production mid-engine Corvette Z06 will be a 70th Anniversary Edition. VIN 001 of this highly anticipated special edition Corvette Z06 will cross the auction block at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, with proceeds benefitting Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit focused on building strong, stable and secure military families who can thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they’ve worked hard to protect.

Visualizer Is Live

For 2023 Corvette Stingray models, the 70th Anniversary Edition will be available on the 2023 Corvette Stingray 3LT and Z06 3LZ coupe and convertible. The 2023 Corvette Z06 visualizer, live on Chevrolet.com, now includes the 70th Anniversary Edition package.

The 2023 Corvette will be available in 14 available exterior colors and eight interior colors that allow for thousands of combinations. Like all other 2023 Corvette variants, the 70th Anniversary Edition will be available starting this summer.

Lastly, we’ll leave you with this bit of trivia: if you think the Corvette turning 70 is a major automotive milestone, the Chevrolet Suburban turns 90 in 2025.
