WHAT IF DODGE BUILT CHARGER TRX?

The Ram 1500 TRX is, for now, in a league of its own. With over 700 horsepower through a supercharged V8 gives the 3+ ton truck the velocity of a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, accelerating from 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. So it makes one wonder what would happen if Dodge decided to build a Charger with the TRX configuration—bringing a muscle car in and transforming it into a Dinosaur. Well, we no longer need to use our imagination to picture something like that.

Dodge Charger TRX: A Closer Look

Artist Oscar Vargas posted an image on Instagram that showcases a Dodge Charger TRX concept. The build is complete with identifiable features that can be found on the Ram TRX, including the hood scoop with clearance lights, massive Goodyear tires with Beadlock wheels, squared-off fender flares, and the front bumper with tow hooks and foglights. But, of course, it wouldn’t be a TRX if it didn’t have height, which is precisely what the Charger features in the concept art, and it doesn’t look half bad lifted off the ground a bit.

With all of the power under the hood, the Ram 1500 TRX can tow 1.5 times its body weight. Even despite its weight, it’s able to accelerate alongside some pretty potent cars. So if the Dodge Charger was given a TRX trim level and equipped with the supercharged engine and all the other drivetrain components. We can only imagine what absurd numbers it would be capable of producing. Of course, that’s even without tuning, which many people have done to the TRX, boosting the power output even further.

Oscar Vargas stated in his post that he enjoyed the look of the concept and was planning on putting together a Dodge Challenger version paired with TRX features, and we honestly can’t wait to see that come to pass. It’s a pretty amazing sight to behold for the Charger, so why not pair it with the muscle car’s inspirational hero?
