Team USA freeski slopestyle medalist Alex Hall is planning on going for gold at this year’s Beijing Olympics.

Hall has a morning ritual in order to prepare for the day ahead of him.

“I just listen to music in the morning and just trying to get hyped for the day and try to have a good time with it, and just get in the right mindset,” he said.

Throughout his travels, Hall noticed the impact that climate change is having on the sport that he loves.

“With artificial snows, it’s a little more firm sometimes and it’s just not quite as soft as the natural snow for the jumps and the landings, but climate change definitely plays a huge factor in our sport,” he said.

“It’s just there’s so much melting going on and they’re trying their best to keep up the parks up here, but you can definitely tell that the snow is slowly melting and the summers are slowly becoming longer and the seasons are kind of getting shorter,” he continued.
