KEVIN HART'S NEW MUSCLE CAR IS A 940 HORSEPOWER PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER

Kevin Hart, actor and stand-up comedian, continues to hold a passion for classic muscle cars, even if they’re trying to kill him. Moreover he seems to be particularly fond of Mopar muscle. About a year ago, he took delivery on a special 1970 Dodge Charger build from none other than Speedkore. Fast forward to the present, and his latest addition to his impressive collection is a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner restomod that has been inspired by the Halloween film franchise, and built by Wisconsin’s Salvaggio Design. Take a peek with the video just below:

According to Motor Trend, Kevin Hart wanted to pay tribute to Mopar muscle cars of yore, so he commissioned Salvaggio Design for a spooky-themed project given the name “Michael Myers.” The Plymouth Roadrunner features custom carbon fiber pieces paired with an orange and black color scheme. Hart wanted the finished product to look minimalistic and industrial and remains a vehicle that bystanders can admire from afar and see its intimidating features up close.

1969 “Michael Myers” Plymouth Roadrunner: Details

The Michael Myers Plymouth Roadrunner features a supercharged Hemi V8 displacing 7.0-liters under the hood that can produce 940 horsepower when running on 91-octane fuel. In addition, upgrades assist with the vehicle’s performance, some of which include a Whipple 3.8-liter supercharger, CP pistons, ported Demon heads, and a Winberg crank. All of it pairs with a Tremec 6060 six-speed manual transmission that sends the power to the rear wheels.

The Roadrunner body is garnished with Billet automotive parts, including a three-piece grille that resembles the original car’s look. The side-view mirrors, door handles, hub caps, and taillight surroundings are also from Billet. The entire vehicle rides on HRE wheels which are 18-inch in the front and 10-inch for the rear, all wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The front wheels have six-piston brake calipers with 14-inch rotors, while four-piston calipers with 13-inch rotors provide stopping power to the back. JRI shocks give the vehicle a lower look while delivering smooth ride quality.

The inside of this Salvaggio Design Plymouth Roadrunner built for Kevin Hart features a unique orange splatter effect, orange stitching, black Italian leather upholstery, and many other custom features. In addition, the car comes equipped with a slasher knife-style shifter, Recaro front seats, and a Billet instrument cluster and steering wheel. If you look closely enough, a tiny “Michael Myers” face can be seen on the RPM gauge, which seems to be just one of many Easter eggs scattered throughout the vehicle.

To complete the look, Salvaggio Design had Rey Marquez from Reymar Footwear design a custom pair of Nike sneakers for Kevin Hart, as well as a belt, and a wallet made from leftover pieces of the leather featured in the interior. Waste not!
