MODDED DODGE CHARGER HELLCAT SMOKES ALL RIVALS ON THE DRAG STRIP

The Dodge Charger and Challenger muscle cars have really hit their stride over the years, rising to the top of the muscle car segment at the expense of its rivals. And we’re not just talking about sales, either, as these Mopar machines are maniacal at the drag strip. Long live the Hellcat V8 engine.

Modded Dodge Charger Hellcat: Drag Race Performance

This feisty foray took place at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. The video’s protagonist is a white Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, which seems normal except for the set of racing slicks it rides upon. With the added grip of the tires (and probably some extra work under the hood), this Mopar muscle car clocks a 9.15-second pass at 144 mph. And that is just the beginning. As seen in the video, the times get better with each run.

The first battle pits the white Dodge Charger Hellcat with a darker Challenger sibling at the 0:33 mark of the video. Keen eyes were on both cars during this race as the Mopar brothers lined up before taking off down the strip. The Challenger looked like it had the lead at the start of the race, but the Charger pulled away and achieved a victory with a 9.08-second time, while the Challenger still had an impressive 9.41-second pass. Next came the battle between the Charger and a camouflaged Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk built in Canada by Sinister Performance. The skirmish ended with the Charger achieving a flawless 9-second victory against a 9.2-second pass. According to the card after the race, the Cherokee’s time allegedly re-set the Canadian quarter-mile record for Trackhawks.

Lastly, a Ford F-150 owner wanted to have a go at the white Dodge Charger. It’s hard to say whether it was just for sport or if they actually thought they would win. But the results were impressive for the Charger, as it achieved a mind-bending 8.86-second pass.
