ONLY 499 OF THESE ELECTRIC FORD MUSTANG COUPES WILL BE BUILT

If you’ve got almost half-a-million dollars in your pocket and are desperately seeking a real all-electric Mustang, we’ve found just the thing. Charge Cars, a British based company operating out of London has electrified the classic Mustang from the 1960s, and is currently taking reservations.

For £350,000, which is about $460,000 USD, you can own one of only 499 hand built all-electric Mustangs from Charge Cars, featuring a a 64 KWh battery pack and all-wheel-drive allowing for a total range of 200 miles. With peak power set at 400 kW the Mustang will go 0-60 in 3.9 seconds.

Indeed, we’ve seen electrified Mustangs before but nothing to this extent. And while the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT proudly wears the pony logo, it’s not exactly the iconic coupe that all of this iconic brand cachet is based on. The same goes for the balls-to-the-wall Mach-E 1400 iteration that Vaughn Gittin Jr has.

We’ve even seen the do-it-yourselfer crowd put together a Tesla swapped S197 Mustang meant for the drag strip, however not everyone is capable of doing that in their garage. With recent talks of Ford seeing opportunity in the ICE sector when it comes to the Mustang and Bronco, we’re likely not going to see an actual all-electric Mustang from Ford for some time. That being said however, Charge Cars has managed to make an all-electric Mustang at top production quality.

Using a licensed Ford Mustang shell, Charge Cars partnering with EV tech company Arrival, Roborace (the world’s first AI racing platform) and Michelin, have created a “real” electric Mustang. Much of the exterior design remains identical to the 1960’s Ford Mustang including the iconic tail light trio in the rear. However, much like the Ford F-100 Eluminator, the inside is not as nostalgic. The interior is basically a modern day EV. You’ll find a massive infotainment monitor that floats on the dash as well as a digital dash displaying state of charge, range and speed as well as premium bespoke leather throughout.
