The titular God of War himself, Kratos, will be played by actor Christopher Judge in God of War: Ragnarok. Judge wasn’t always the bassy and intimidating tone behind Kratos. The original God of War games starred Terence C. Carson as the brutal protagonist. But heading into Sony Santa Monica Studio’s reboot of the franchise, Carson was replaced by Christopher Judge and the role swap has remained in place for the sequel. According to Judge, he was part of the reason why the upcoming sequel has been delayed.

One of the teased antagonists for Ragnarok is the famous god of thunder himself, Thor. Thor is played by actor Ryan Hurstm who some fans might remember as Gerry Bertier in sports classic Remember The Titans. Danielle Bisutti returns to take the role of Freya once more.

Atreus, revealed to be Loki at the end of the first game, has his role reprised by Sunny Suljic, who also starred in Jonah Hill’s directorial debut film mid90s. Mimir actor Alastair Duncan will make a return as the literal talking head that so many God of War fans grew fond of. The game seems to partially revolve around seeking out the old Norse god of war, Tyr, who is played by Ben Prendergast, also the voice of Apex Legends’ Fuse.

These are just a few of the highlights of the confirmed vocal talents lending their ability to the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok, and some reminders of why fans are so excited for this sequel.
