JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE DEBUTS NEW HIGH ALTITUDE PACKAGE, VIVID HYDRO BLUE PAINT

While Jeep recently debuted several design concepts for the 2022 Moab Easter Safari happening this week, the iconic SUV brand has simultaneously unveiled a handsome new trim package and color combination for the Grand Cherokee at the 2022 New York Auto Show, making the iconic SUV even more tantalizing. The color is called “Hydro Blue Pearl Coat”, and looks as electrifying as the 4xe powertrain, especially when combined with the new High Altitude package. And those wheels are really something.

Similar to what we see on the JL Jeep Wrangler, the new High Altitude package takes everything shiny on the 2022 Grand Cherokee and gives it the Johnny Cash treatment, turning the 21-inch aluminum wheels, badging, roof rails, unique seven-slot grille, and other accents all gloss black. Only Summit 4xe and Summit Reserve 4xe trim levels can add the High Altitude package at a price of $1,495 and $995, respectively. Both 4×4 models feature air suspension, electric rear limited-slip differential, and a traction management system with five selectable terrain modes.

Inside, the Summit trim features Nappa leather seats, quilted seat bolsters for all three rows, Berber floor mats, and an Absolute Oak wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Summit Reserve adds quilted Palermo leather, ventilated front and second-row seats, open-pore Waxed Walnut wood trim, and more.

Jeep’s Grand Cherokee is the latest model in Jeep’s lineup to get the 4xe treatment, which features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic transmission, paired with two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack. The 4xe offers 25 miles of all-electric range, as well as 56 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe). Both the High Altitude package and Hydro Blue Pearl Coat will be available to order at Jeep dealerships starting in the second half of 2022.

The vibrant blue color won’t just be reserved for electrified models of the Grand Cherokee, it will also be available for Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve models in both two-row and three-row configurations. The paint is a $395 option.
