HERE'S WHAT THE CHEVY SILVERADO ZR2 BISON COULD LOOK LIKE

Chevy’s alternative to the Ford F-150 Raptor or Ram TRX is currently the Silverado ZR2. We drove it just a few weeks ago, and it is indeed a compelling alternative. But, you see, it’s not really a Raptor competitor (despite being Raptor money), let alone a TRX competitor, although it’s likely to be judged by the masses as such. What it is, though, is perhaps the first appealing half-ton overlanding platform for upfitters and high-budget adventurers. And that pitch is going to become even more compelling with the upcoming Silverado ZR2 Bison.

What will the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison look like? YouTuber The Sketch Monkey, whose page consists of teaching design sketching has also done several vehicle renderings, most recently give his best guess. the video of how he did it can be viewed above.

MC&T first broke the news that GM was working on a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison. This truck will be made possible with the partnership of American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), just as we’ve seen with the small Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison. That being said, the rendering is enthusiast made and not official, but it’s bound to be pretty close.

The near 20-minute video also goes through the design differences between the Ford F-150 Raptor, Ram TRX and current iteration of the ZR2. At the end, it reveals through a time-lapse, what we might be seeing come time for GM to finally announce the Silverado Bison.

A Chevrolet ordering system leak unofficially confirmed the existence of a Silverado ZR2 Bison. Content will include unique front and rear bumpers, multiple underbody skid plates, and unique badging. We also expect AEV to roll out its own unique package after the factory release, which will make the Silverado even more capable. We might expect a Silverado ZR2 AEV Bison package to include beefier 35-inch off-road tires, off-road lighting, as well as a winch and snorkel.
