2023 CHEVROLET TAHOE AND SUBURBAN GET SEVERAL HIGH-TECH UPDATES

Car manufacturers often add a few updates to each model year as technologies advance or to freshen up the product. Chevrolet has just announced some new updates for the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban, including some new exterior design and, most notably, the arrival of Super Cruise to the SUVs, the company’s hands-free driver-assistance technology.

There are a total of three new exterior colors for the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, including Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Radiat Red Tintcoat, which comes at an additional cost. In addition to the three new exterior colors for the new model year, customers will also have the option to outfit their LS, LT, RST, and Premier SUVs with a new accessory black grille with Chevrolet lettering across the front.

2023 Chevrolet Tahoe And Suburban Gain Super Cruise

In addition to the aesthetic additions to the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, GM is bringing its hands-free driver-assistance technology to the SUVs. This will enable owners to reduce driving fatigue on long road trips when traversing compatible roads with the system. A vehicle equipped with Super Cruise driving at a set speed can detect a slower vehicle ahead. The system will then “look” in the adjacent lanes with the help of ultrasonic sensors to make sure they are clear before automatically merging to pass. The feature is biased to correctly pass on the left lane, but it can also merge to the right if that lane is obstructed.

GM‘s Super Cruise is geo-fenced, and the lanes are mapped out in high definition, so it knows when lanes on the freeway will end and when the roads begin to wind. This is meant to deliver a near-human driving experience, but you may find your own inputs more satisfying.

Production for the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will begin in the late summer of this year at GM’s manufacturing facility in Arlington, Texas. Pricing hasn’t been announced just yet.
