President Biden: January 6 was “one of the darkest chapters in our nation’s history”

This morning at the Summit of the Americas, President Biden called January 6 “one of the darkest chapters in our nation’s history” and “brutal attack on law enforcement.”

“It’s important for the American people to understand what truly happened. And to understand that the same forces that led January 6 to remain at work today,” said the President.

In her opening statement at the first hearing last night, Liz Cheney said, “President Trump believed his supporters at the Capitol, and I quote, ‘were doing what they should be doing.; This is what he told his staff as they pleaded with him to call off the mob, to instruct his supporters to leave.”

Former president Trump has denied on TRUTH social any responsibility for the violence that took place at the US Capitol.
