This three-wheeled e-scooter helps keep riders stable

Honda recently launched a new startup called Striemo, specializing in electric micro-mobility solutions. Its very first product is an original three-wheeled scooter named Striemo, with a design that promises stability in balance and riding in all situations.

This device -- halfway between the classic scooter and a Segway -- has been designed to limit as much as possible the risk of falling, whatever the speed or the type of surface covered. This is thanks, in particular, to its three-wheel structure and in-built balance-assist system, allowing the user to spontaneously maintain their balance more easily. It has been skillfully designed in such a way that the center of gravity is calculated to a tenth of a millimeter.

The Striemo has three driving modes, with top speeds ranging from 6 to 25 km/h. Its removable battery slides easily into the handlebar tube of the scooter. It is fully charged in just 3.5 hours and offers a comfortable range of about 30 km.

This scooter, which promises to be particularly safe, should be available in Japan by the end of the year before arriving in Europe in 2023. Note that its price has not yet been announced.
