MOPAR TEASES JEEP AND RAM SEMA 2022 CONCEPTS

The 2022 SEMA Show is right around the corner, and this year is bound to have a different vibe. For instance, both Chevrolet and Ford have pulled out of the show completely, while more independent brands like eBay Motors plan and the SEMA Electrified section to have more of a presence in their place. Also officially attending the show is Dodge, which is bound to show off new Direct Connection packages, and a “new flavor” of the all-electric Charger Daytona Banshee concept. Maintaining consistency however, is Mopar. The parts and accessories division of Stellantis is bringing at least three vehicles to display. These will include a Jeep, and two Ram trucks according to recently released teaser photos.

One peculiar Mopar 2022 SEMA Show teaser photo includes the name “Surge” where the ‘e” is in the style of what we’ve seen attributed to the Jeep 4xe models. It might be safe to say that Mopar intends on bringing something special for the 4xe lineup specifically the Jeep Wrangler 4xe based on the teaser image. Another possibility given the name and meaty tires, is an upgraded off-road package with heightened performance abilities. A “surge” can also be defined as an extra rush of something, such as a power surge. Could this imply that there’s extra power for this Jeep hybrid? It probably has nothing to do with the soft drink in any case.

Up top, we’re given a teaser photo of what looks undoubtedly like a Ram TRX. This one however features bright yellow tow hooks and is teasing what appears to be a new color, perhaps akin to the High Altitude seen on the Jeep Wrangler recently. Hopefully there’s more to it than that. A second Ram truck was also teased, with what looks to be a bed topper ready for camping. Is this another overlanding truck like the Ram Rebel OTG Concept from the 2019 show? It feels that way.

All in all, we will have to wait until November to find out exactly what Mopar is bringing to the table this year at the 2022 SEMA Show, just a few weeks away.
