RAM REVOLUTION ELECTRIC TRUCK ALL BUT REVEALED IN LATEST VIDEO

It was revealed last week that Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares would be giving the keynote speech at the Consumer Electronics Show 2023 at the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom in Las Vegas, where he will be personally unveiling not one but two Stellantis battery-electric vehicle concept vehicles during his keynote speech. One of which will be the all-electric Ram Revolution truck.

Later, Ram quietly released an unlisted YouTube link to those who signed up on the Ram Revolution website to be in the know. The 1-minute 4-second video gives some indication from the Ram Design Studio in Auburn Hills about what the new concept truck looks like in its clay form. The video highlights many design talents, including Ralph Gilles (Head of Stellantis Design), Mark Trostle (Vice President of Ram and Mopar Design), Ryan Nagode (Chief Design – Ram Interior Studio), Lou Gazevski (Lead Design Manager for Ram), and others.

Ram 1500 BEV Concept Teaser: Details

In the short video, Ram shows some teasers of the 1500 BEV Concept’s design in clay form and even a couple of quick shots of what appeared to be scaled-down models in the wind tunnel. The overall shape of the clay model looks quite similar to that of the Rivian R1T or even the Chevrolet Silverado EV. Indicating that Ram could be taking a more futuristic approach for the Revolution line. Again, if you’re skeptical about the design at this stage, remember that this is only a concept vehicle to highlight some features that may or may not be coming to the production truck scheduled to arrive in 2024.

Apparently, early prototype mules are already running around the Auburn Hills campus. Meanwhile, the production vehicle will be based on an evolution of the current fifth-generation Ram 1500 (DT) architecture known as the STLA platform. The truck might share the independent rear suspension (IRS) design from the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer (WS) models and could have a range of up to 500 miles. The Ram Revolution Concept BEV will make its official debut a month from now, on Thursday, January 5th, 2023.
