SOON YOU'LL BE ABLE TO MONOCHROME YOUR C8 CORVETTE Z06 ORDER

When the 2024 Corvette E-Ray visualizer leaked, we weren’t the only ones that assumed that the main differentiation between the hybrid Corvette and the Z06 would be body-color exterior accents (EFY). Since ordering opened in August, the Z06 has only been available to order with carbon flash metallic trim. With the E-Ray visualizer showing no carbon flash trim, it appeared to be an obvious assumption. However, according to Corvette Blogger, this same styling preference will be an option for the C8 Z06 very soon.

C8 Corvette Z06 Monochrome Body Style: Details

The latest update to GM’s 2023 Corvette Order Guide, posted on CorvetteForum, shows that the Z06 will be available to order with body-color exterior accents. Unfortunately, though, the option will only be available for some Z06s. Disclaimers state that you can’t order EFY on black cars, which also extends to the 70th Anniversary models. The Distribution Updates at the end of the Corvette Order Guide say these changes will go into effect this week, though it may still be days or weeks before we see it on the official Build and Price Configurator. If the pricing remains the same for the Z06, we could expect the EFY to add an additional $995 to the order.

If you’re waiting for the chance to order a Corvette Z06, you’ll want to know when the subsequent order cycles will be, as GM hasn’t normalized the ordering process for the car. The assumption is that the Z06 ordering will be available any time a month has a second Dealer Order Submission Process (DOSP). The month that that will happen is in February 2023. We’ll likely see Chevy follow the previous trends of holding the Stingray DOSP first, and then the 2nd being the Z06 cycle. The second DOSP cycle will begin on February 16th, and orders will open on February 23rd. So, if you’re aiming to get your hands on a C8 Corvette Z06, mark the date on the calendar and be prepared to visit your local dealership, as you won’t be the only one waiting for the chance to place an order on the supercar.

We’ll likely see the next Z06 orders with a targeted production date beginning in April. Though, that could be subject to change depending on the strength of the supply chain and other factors. It’ll be interesting to see how popular the monochrome option will be amongst Z06 customers when the next order cycle commences.
