Freshman Jack linebacker Maverick Noonan will miss the 2023 season after injuring a knee, Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule said after Tuesday's practice. The good news is that it wasn't an ACL injury, and Noonan should return in six months and "be as good as new," Rhule said. The Huskers are thin at wide receiver at the moment. Mickey Joseph and players meet the media ahead of Friday night’s game at Rutgers Nebraska will continue a rotation at right tackle as the Huskers look for improvement on the offensive line. Interim head football head coach Mickey Joseph said Monday that he plans to continue splitting reps evenly between Bryce Benhart and Hunter Anthony, a transfer from Oklahoma State.
