A Japanese town, known for its near-perfect views of the iconic Mount Fuji, is fighting back against hordes of tourists. Fujikawaguchiko, in the northern foothills of the mountain, boasts a number of scenic photo spots that offer stunning shots of the legendary destination. This week, though, the town has begun constructing a large, black screen on a stretch of a sidewalk to block the view of the mountain. The reason? Misbehaving foreign tourists. “Kawaguchiko is a town built on tourism, and I welcome many visitors, and the town welcomes them too, but there are many things about their manners ...

Namibian authorities have heavily criticised a group of tourists who posed naked on the popular ‘Big Daddy’ dune in the Namib desert. Three male visitors are said to have taken their clothes off for pictures and videos during a dune safari after hiking up the sandbank, which is more than 300 metres tall. The resulting images were then shared on social media and circulated widely. That prompted local officials to say they were “shocked” by the incident and to claim that the act was a public indecency violation of park regulations and national law. How did the incident at Big Daddy dune come abo...
