Cornerback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers from 1970 to 1972 Joe Blahak was a starting defensive back from 1970 through 1972. Sadly, Joe passed away on April 25th, 2016, from an apparent heart attack. His Nebraska teams finished 33-2-2. He was inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 1990, the Columbus, NE Shamrock Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
