Beforehand, those ten drivers would race for the pole, fastest time wins, everyone else in order by time. Now, NASCAR qualifying is a complex mess that takes multiple explanations and a new graphic to even understand it. Five fastest from each gro...

Denny Hamlin provided some interesting insight into why NASCAR didn’t use mud flaps or windshield wipers at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. With wet weather tires on hand, it only would’ve made more sense to have windshield wipers and mud flaps handy in Loudon, so the Cup Series could run through some of the rain that came through the track. However, Hamlin explained that while they may be called wet weather tires, they really aren’t made for running in heavy rainfall, the likes of what we saw when the red flag came out in Loudon on Sunday afternoon. “Because we still don’t want to race in the r...

Denny Hamlin watched in awe as Christopher Bell dominated the USA Today 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on wet weather tires after the race resumed following a red flag. When the green flag returned to Loudon, Bell was easily the man to beat, and the No. 20 held on for his third victory of 2024, matching Hamlin’s total. Afterwards, Hamlin explained what it was like watching Bell take the field to task, while the No. 11 wheelman tried to imitate Bell’s driving to no avail. “It seemed like, when I watched Bell for instance, when he took off, right after the wet weather and gained like five s...
