There are bombs, and then there are bombs like Madame Web, a movie so bad it not only got an 11 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and it is not only Sony’s lowest-grossing Marvel movie by a margin of $60 million, its own star made it very clear she did not care for her own movie while she was supposed to be promoting it during the film’s press tour. That would be Dakota Johnson, who plays the title character. Johnson fired her agents shortly after Madame Web’s trailer premiered — never a great sign! — and then during its press tour she was about as candid about the final product as you’ll ever see f...

It’s been more than three years since Marvel fans saw Paul Bettany’s Vision; the character was left with a massive cliffhanger following the events of WandaVision, which saw his synthetic body reconstituted without its memories or personality. (His traditional green and red coloring was replaced with an all-white color scheme as well.) What happened to this new white Vision has been up in the air since then — but will now be explored in a new Disney+ TV series from Marvel. Variety reports that Marvel has brought in Star Trek: Picard producer Terry Matalas to create the next chapter in Vision’s...

They’re the words X-Men fans have been waiting to hear since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox half a decade ago: Marvel is beginning work on their first X-Men feature film. Although there have been rumblings that Marvel was looking for potential writers to tackle the project late last year, it now appears they’ve settled on their preferred candidate. Deadline reports that Michael Lesslie, who co-wrote the recent film version of The Hunger Games prequel The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, is “in negotiations to pen the movie.” As you would expect, Marvel’s Kevin Feige is producing the film. If you watched the recently-concluded X-Men ’97on Disney+, you may have noticed the series had a small but important difference from the Marvel’s previous Disney+ series. Instead of opening with the traditional “Marvel Studios” animated logo featuring clips from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe films and series, it began with a slightly different logo for something called “Marvel Television.” You may have simply assumed that the change was meant to indicate X-Men ’97 was animated instead of live-action, but apparently that’s not the case. A new article claims the new logo is part of a delibe...

Hugh Jackman spent almost 20 years making X-Men movies shackled by a PG-13 rating. At least until 2017’s Logan, he couldn’t swear, and certainly couldn’t do much with his claws besides wave them in the air a whole bunch. His Wolverine never got to truly cut loose. Based on the trailers for Jackman’s return to the X-Men universe in Deadpool & Wolverine, there are no such restrictions this time. The latest trailer, which is here to hype the fact that you can now buy advance tickets for the film, contains more F-bombs than other entire phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And it’s only one mi...

Galactus is coming to devour the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ralph Ineson has been cast as the famous Marvel villain and will appear in the upcoming The Fantastic Four movie from director Matt Shakman. After a painfully long development process, a new Batmanshow from some of the same creators as the classic Batman: The Animated Series is finally ready to premiere. Titled Batman: Caped Crusader, the show was first announced way back in May of 2021, when it was revealed a new series from B:TAS artist and animator Bruce Timm, along with producers J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, would be headed to Warner Bros.’ new HBO Max streaming service. But by August 2022 Warner Bros. Discovery was starting to cut back on their original content for their streaming service. At that point, they pulled the show f...
