TAKE A WALK AROUND THE MODERN GMC JIMMY FROM FLAT OUT AUTOS

Flat Out Autos decided to take it upon themselves to bring back the full-sized GMC Jimmy, which was the Big Red equivalent of the K5 Chevrolet Blazer back in the day. Both of these iconic 4×4 SUV nameplates were eventually downsized, and replaced by the two-door Tahoe and Yukon in the 1990s. Today, the full-size two-door SUV is all but extinct, save for some clever aftermarket solutions. Flat Out Autos is perhaps at the pinnacle of these solutions, as demonstrated by their modern 2023 GMC Jimmy 4×4 that was on display at the 2022 SEMA Show, where it received two titles.

Our friend ScottieDTV gives us a closer-than-ever look at the Flat Out Autos GMC Jimmy; we can see everything from the carpet that lines even the bed of the truck to the premium leather of the stock interior and seats. Nothing on that front was changed, which is ideal for most customers who want to maintain the safety and convenience features of modern cars today.

To that end, Flat Out Autos doesn’t modify the vehicle’s software; instead, they adapt the cars to incorporate all the existing sensors and safety features, which sounds like

Flat Out Autos welcomes potential customers to take a trip to the company’s shop in Jonesboro, Arizona, to look at this beautiful 2-door conversion truck. If you want one for yourself, the company has 20 build slots available for 2023, though at this point may have already reserved those. The walkaround video speculates the pricing; luckily, we have the answer to that question. Customers can expect to pay around $120,000 USD for the truck, which is hefty but expected for a custom-built vehicle like this one.

But, you’ll be paying for fabrication that makes that truck look like it came straight from the factory, with everything blending seamlessly together, not to mention those wheels and beefy tires that add some aggression to the build.
