2024 JEEP GLADIATOR EASTER EGG SPOTTED IN WRANGLER REFRESH IMAGES

Jeep recently unveiled the 2024 Jeep Wrangler, which consists of significant upgrades to the vehicle to ensure it keeps up with the modern technology (big screens!) people have come to love and expect from new SUVs. And with the debut of the updated icon, anticipation has immediately turned towards the Jeep Gladiator, which is also expected to see similar updates for the 2024 model year. And in typical Stellantis fashion, a little easter egg was spotted in some of the photos released of the upcoming 2024 Wrangler.

A member of the Jeep Gladiator Forum was recently sifting through some of the interior images of the upcoming SUV and spotted a slight deviation in one of the images, specifically located on the headlight switch. According to the post, all other 2024 Wrangler photos show the button as one piece, but in this image, it’s clear that there are two. It’s known that the Jeep Gladiator features a set of lights for the truck bed, and this could be a little easter egg from Jeep to show that the updated 2024 Gladiator is coming and may feature many of the upgrades we’re seeing come in the 2024 Wrangler.

The peculiar light switch on the left side of the steering wheel appears to elude to the 2024 Jeep Gladiator refresh.## Refreshed 2024 Jeep Gladiator: What To Expect

If these forum members were avid readers of MC&T, they wouldn’t be sleuthing around so much for the information regarding the next-generation Jeep Gladiator. We know that we may never see the legendary 392 Hemi V8 make its way to the Jeep Gladiator, despite the loud and clear demand for it (with the aftermarket happily obliging customers). We also speculated that the Xtreme Recon package wouldn’t make its way to the Toledo-built truck, which integrates 35-inch tires from the factory. However, there’s still hope for bigger tires for the Gladiator as Jeep switched out Xtreme Recon with Rubicon X in the Wrangler, and they may add that to the truck.

Next, we know that the Jeep Gladiator will get a 4xe hybrid trim with the refresh. Since the JT Gladiator is piggybacking on the JL Wrangler platform, it only makes sense that it would get the 4xe powertrain, which may be the only salvation fans may have to get their hands on some added power under the hood. If the system is the same as in the Wrangler, we don’t know why it wouldn’t be. The Jeep Gladiator 4xe should have around 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The latter figure matches the Wrangler 392 V8, so there’s a silver lining.

We’ll have to wait and see what Jeep has in store for its midsize truck, which up until recently, was the most tech-savvy vehicle in the segment. However, we know it will be close to what the new Jeep Wrangler offers, and with the 4xe powertrain, it will be one of the only midsize trucks providing a hybrid option outside of the Toyota Tacoma.
