Dodge Direct Connection has partnered with Finale Speed to build a carbon fiber body for the modern-era Dodge Charger. We’ve covered the story since the 1970 carbon-fiber turn-key Dodge Charger was first announced, and it looks like Finale Speed has finally finished the build as it was unveiled at the West Palm Beach Barrett-Jackson Auction. The iconic muscle car is licensed by Dodge Direct Connection and available for purchase through any Dodge Direct Connection dealer or directly from Finale Speed.
Finale Speed 1970 Dodge Charger: Details
The Finale Speed 1970 Dodge Charger features an exposed-weave carbon-fiber body that is aesthetically pleasing, lightweight, and durable. The engine placed under thee hood of this work of art is a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat crate engine capable of producing 707 horsepower, giving future customers a taste of modern power with classic styling. A Tremec 6-speed manual transmission connected to a 9-inch rear end with a 3.70 gear ratio and Posi-traction limited-slip differential round out the drivetrain. The bespoke muscle car features Detroit Speed front and rear subframes with JRi coil-overs, a Detroit Speed front swaybar, and a custom perimeter chassis.

The exterior of the Finale Speed Dodge Charger is just like the mechanics. The body panels are prepreg carbon fiber (“prepreg” means pre-impregnated with resin), and the car features modern LED taillights. The gas cap is a Mopar original, and the front and rear glass is flush-mounted. Meanwhile, the interior features Recaro leather seats with custom stitching and 5-point cam lock seatbelts. Custom carbon fiber gauges and Alcantara console with matching stitching. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped in aluminum, Old Air Products provide the climate controls, the headliner is custom, and the sound deadening is a complete Dynamite installation.
We previously covered the pricing for the Finale Speed carbon fiber 1970 Dodge Charger. Customers will have two ways to purchase one of these exquisite cars; the first option starts at $199,000, and you can buy a rolling car chassis. That will give customers a starting base to create their own carbon-fiber Charger project car. The second option is to buy a turn-key example from Finale Speed, allowing customers to have a complete build like the one described here. Prices for the turn-key version start at $449,000. So, not cheap, but well worth it for the hardcore fans with extra cash to spend.
