YES, THERE IS A NEW FORD RANGER COMING FOR THE USA AND CANADA

Ford isn’t wasting any time bringing the 2024 Ford Ranger to North America, and we certainly don’t have any complaints considering that the rest of the world has had the truck for over a year. We have four trim levels to choose from, starting with the base XL and working its way up to the Raptor, but there’s still room for more. That said, we’ve had a hunch that Ford would be bringing the Tremor trim for the Ranger, something to slot below the Raptor but will compliment the full-send Baja truck in the lineup as the more overland-friendly variant of the two. This puts it directly against the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, GMC Canyon AT4X, as well as the new Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter and Tacoma TRD.

New USA/Canada Ford Ranger Tremor: What To Expect

According to the Ranger6G forum, a “Body Builders Layout Book” for the midsize truck has revealed that a Tremor variant is on the horizon. According to the document, the Ford Ranger Tremor Crew Cab 4×4 will ride on 17-inch wheels wrapped in meatier all-terrain tires. The document suggests that the truck will also have a lift and a GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of 6,790 lbs. But beyond that, there’s not much else for us to go on. Though, we can look at a product available in other markets to get a better idea of what to expect from the upcoming Ford Ranger Tremor.

The new Ford Ranger Tremor for the European markets isn’t a trim level but a package based on the XLT trim. It features revised suspension geometry, a wider track, and flared fenders. Also working to distinguish the new Ford Ranger Tremor across the pond is a long-leg tubular sports bar around the bed and cast aluminum side steps. Exterior accents have been darkened, and there’s a set of exposed twin front tow hooks. The interior of the new Tremor features a water-resistant vinyl trim to the seats and floor, and there’s an optional, pre-wired overhead switch pack with six inputs to control all of the auxiliary gear, such as a remote-controlled winch and an off-road light bar.

Of course, what we see of the Ford Ranger in other markets won’t directly translate to what we’ll find in the USA and Canada markets, as there are subtle differences, but this should give us a basic idea of what we might expect to come with the Tremor set to launch on our shores.
