VIDEO: NEW RAM RAMPAGE SMALL TRUCK SPOTTED IN BRAZILIAN PARKING GARAGE

The Ram Rampage made its debut recently for the Brazilian market, and it wasn’t long before reports indicated that the new unibody small pickup truck would make its way to North American markets. This recent sighting places the compact truck in a parking garage in a bright red paint job that helps it stand out in the crowd.

A recent Instagram post by Fiat Pulse gives us a walk around the truck, though, without a close-up of the interior. It stands as tall as the SUVs parked nearby, with a short bed, four doors, blacked-out wheels, and the ever-important RAM badging on the front grille. There will be high demand for this beautiful truck, and it looks like it will make its way to the United States soon.

Ram Rampage: Details

The Ford Maverick has been in incredibly high demand, which has resulted in CEO Jim Farley announcing that despite additional shifts to the factory that builds the small truck, he doesn’t see them being able to keep up with demand. Luckily, fans will have an alternate option soon, as Stellantis has recently green-lit the Ram Rampage for the USA. That also means the heavily camouflaged test mules sighted in North America are driving around because they’re arriving at these shores. But that also means that despite the debut in South America, these trucks still wear camouflage which could indicate that there will be some design changes that differ from what’s seen in the Instagram video.

As for the Ram Rampage to be sold in South America, reports from Brazil state that there’s a 2.0L Hurricane engine under the hood that can produce 270 horsepower and around 290 lb-ft of torque, paired to a nine-speed transmission that sends power to all four wheels. For the model set for the USA and Canada, expect a PHEV variant to be offered, borrowing the powertrain from the Dodge Hornet R/T.
