DODGE ANNOUNCES ANOTHER SPECIAL EDITION 'LAST CALL' CHALLENGER AND CHARGER

We’re approaching the end of the line for the Dodge Charger and Challenger in their current forms. It was recently announced that orders would be closing at the end of this month, and production would end by December 31, 2023. With the release of the 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon 170, we were sure it was the final of the ‘Last Call’ unique edition models. But, coming out of the left field, Dodge, nay, Mopar, announced one more limited edition variant for the production year for both the Charger and Challenger muscle cars.

What Are The 2023 Dodge Charger And Challenger Mopar Editions?

The latest addition to the Dodge Last Call lineup will be known as the Mopar editions based on the Challenger and Charger R/T Scat Pack Widebody vehicles. Both of which feature unique performance-oriented looks inside and out. On the outside, both Charger and Challenger will be available only in Pitch Black Clear Coat with unique matte-black graphics and Mopar Blue tracer stripes along the hood, roof, and decklid. Custom touches include a bespoke Mopar Blue grille badge, Mopar Blue brake calipers behind forged carbon-black wheels, and Mopar valve stem caps.

Additionally, the exterior of the cars features an exclusive all-new carbon fiber decklid spoiler, which is the first time this has been used and is only available for the Charger and Challenger Mopar models. The vehicles ride on 20-by-11-inch forged-aluminum wheels with an exclusive Carbon Black finish. Wrapped around those is a set of Pirelli P Zero 305/35ZR20 summer performance tires which are complimented by the body color fender flares that add 3.5 inches to the width of the muscle cars. Finally, the Mopar Charger and Challenger also get SRT-tuned Widebody competition suspension with Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping.

Unique Details

As for the interior of these cars, the Mopar interior appearance group adds bright door sills and premium floor and trunk mats with Mopar logos. Other features include:

  • Serialized Mopar instrument-panel badge
  • Alpine Audio Group
  • Carbon Suede Interior Package including authentic carbon fiber interior accents and suede headliner
  • Plus package content (heated, flat-bottom steering wheel, scat pack logos, heated seats, and more)

A 392 Hemi V8 powers each car. However, the models differ when it comes to the transmission, as the Mopar Challenger features the venerable Tremec 6-speed manual and the option for the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic. However, the Charger is only available with the automatic. Brembo six-piston front brake calipers (four-piston rear) painted in exclusive Mopar Blue provide further aesthetics and give the car superior stopping power.

Production And Allocation

Each Dodge Mopar Charger and Challenger buyer will receive an owner kit that features a custom-made, personalized metal certificate of authenticity with serialized vehicle-build number and a special vehicle rendering by the Mopar Design team. Unfortunately, production is limited to 220 units for each model, with 200 vehicles allocated to the U.S. market and 20 for Canada. So, if you want one, you should check the Horsepower locator to find where they’re allocated before they’re gone. As for pricing, the exclusive Mopar ’23 special edition package is $3,995 on top of the price of the R/T Scat Pack Widebody model.
