Smyth Kit Cars is the company that pieced together this pickup conversion kit for the Chrysler 300. This company makes ute conversions for a couple different vehicles, including the Dodge Charger which we’ve seen conversions of in the past. The idea is straightforward: chop off the back from the middle of the rear windows and replace it with a custom-fabricated pickup bed. Since the process doesn’t mess with any of the drivetrain components, the kit is available for all configurations of the 300, though since it is a pickup, the Hemi will be the most enjoyable to have for this conversion. It’s like a Ram, but not.
It’s unclear precisely what the dimensions are for the Chrysler 300 pickup conversion, but if it’s anything like its Dodge Charger sibling, it’ll have a six-foot bed at the back that also measures 48.5 inches wide. That’s more than enough space to have a very usable truck. The tailgate for the build is fully functional, and the taillights are sourced from either a Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country.
If you’re willing to chop your Chrysler 300 to have a cheap alternative to something like the front-wheel-drive Ford Maverick, minus a back seat, it’ll cost you $4,490. It’s important to note that the conversion is only available for second-generation 300s, which is anything from 2011 to 2020. This is fine because we can’t imagine anyone wanting to chop a newer car.
