NC to fight polls alone in J&K, can't be crushed by ED summons: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar:

Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the National Conference (NC) president and incumbent Member of Parliament from Srinagar constituency, today ruled out any pre-poll alliance, saying instead the party will contest independently.

Addressing reporters at the party headquarters in Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said, “We want to make it abundantly clear that NC will not enter into any alliance prior to the polls. “

Responding to queries regarding the assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Abdullah expressed anticipation that these elections would coincide with the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

In the face of summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Abdullah said, “I will face ED. I am not intimidated by anyone.” He further asserted, “NC is a movement that cannot be suppressed by incarcerating Farooq Abdullah or any other leader.”
