'Has a chance': What Richarlison has now told Brazil's media about his injury ahead of Spurs v Aston Villa

Tottenham came back from the dead to beat Crystal Palace today and continue their surge towards finishing in the top four this season.

Ange Postecoglou was not happy at half-time and his side were down 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ebere Eze.

However, Spurs rallied once again and scored twice in quick succession through Timo Werner and Cristian Romero, before Heung-Min Son added a deserved third late in the day.

Of course, for Tottenham to get the win was important, especially given they did it without striker Richarlison, who is set to be out for a few weeks, according to Postecoglou.

However, in a tweet by Dan Kilpatrick, it seems that Richarlison has a different opinion to his manager and he’s told the Brazilian media that he might well have a chance of facing Aston Villa next week.

Taking to X to share the news, Kilpatrick has said that Ange has reiterated his stance on Richarlison’s injury in his post-game presser.

Richarlison return would boost Tottenham

The game with Aston Villa next week is going to be massive and there’s no doubt having the full squad available will help Spurs.

However, this is a bit of an odd one from Richarlison, who seems to be going against what his manager is saying about the same situation.

Right now, it seems odd for Postecoglou to overplay the injury so for Richarlison to come out with this suggests he might be a bit over confident, or know a bit more.

We will obviously find out soon enough. But if the Brazilian is back, then it’s a massive bonus for the whole club in what is a huge fixture.
