Joe Rodon's brother posts three-word reaction on social media as Ipswich lose at Cardiff

Joe Rodon’s brother Sam has summed up how a lot of Leeds United fans will be feeling this afternoon with his reaction to Cardiff City coming from behind to beat Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Leeds threw down the challenge to the automatic-promotion chasers in the Championship with their 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night. The result lifted Daniel Farke’s men back above Ipswich Town and into second place, two points adrift of Leicester City.

The Tractor Boys faced Cardiff needing to win to take second spot back. And as stoppage-time loomed at the end of the second-half, it appeared that they would get the result they needed.

The Bluebirds had shown little urgency in the second-half before going behind. But the goal sparked them into life. And they got their equaliser in the 95th minute.

It was already a result Leeds fans would have taken. But there was to be one final twist in the 100th minute, with Callum O’Dowda scoring from close range.

It sent the home fans inside the ground into a frenzy. And it would have been a similar feeling for so many of us, with the automatic-promotion race back in our hands.

Someone we have welcomed into the fanbase over the last year is Sam Rodon; of course, the brother of loanee and former Swansea City star Joe Rodon. And he was amongst those to take to X to comment after Cardiff bagged their winner…

Back in Leeds’ hands

It is too soon to think about promotion. We know from previous years that there are plenty of twists still to come before the top two is decided. In truth, all four sides are likely to drop points before the campaign concludes.

But if Leeds do manage to get themselves promoted, signing Joe Rodon has to be one of the priorities. Rodon has hinted that he would like to stay.

And clearly, those around the centre-back want to see the Whites get across the line.
