Never suffer a boring conversation ever again with this quick Oscars hack

Thanks to the Oscars we now have a new and improved hack for cutting boring, dry, and endless conversations short.

Say what you want about TikTok, but the video-sharing app is perfect for giving us mortals fun little hacks and tips to streamline our lives. Just recently, the food and drink world got a little bigger with the introduction of France’s Crookie.

The Oscars music will surely come in handy with this hack

TikTok comedy couple Amber and Nick (@amberdenae22) shared a hilarious clip last week that has since amassed over 2.3 million views and 250k likes. In the clip, Nick could be seen chatting away as Amber suddenly starts playing the Oscars speech music.

Fans of the annual award show will recognize the elevator-style tones as something producers play when winners are running over time with their speeches. In the past, the music has been used to speed up the likes of Adrien Brody, Michael Moore, and Julia Roberts.

“What is that? Are you playing that?” Nick questioned, confused before Amber told him why she was playing the music. “Oscar’s music? I’ve literally been talking for 30 seconds.”

Amber continued to share various clips of her using the music on Nick, with her boyfriend becoming more and more frustrated each time.

TikTok thinks they are on to something

Though arguably a little rude, the rest of TikTok loves the cheeky hack’s brutal honesty, as one person wrote: “This is pure genius! *searches Oscar music on YouTube immediately.”

“I need this for Team meetings,” wrote the official Microsoft account, to which Amber responded, “I feel like it should be a built-in feature.”

So next time your partner or friend is droning on a little, crack open the Oscars speech music. Thankfully, it’s available to stream here.

The Oscars, which this year had a six-figure goodie bag, was televised on Sunday with a slurry of viral moments and hilarious celebrity antics.
