Ben Parker predicts whether Leeds will be top of the Championship after playing Millwall this weekend

Leeds United have the chance to move above Leicester City and climb to the top of the Championship against Millwall on Sunday.

The Whites currently sit three points behind the Foxes and know that a win by a minimum of two goals would see them claim top spot, with the Foxes in FA Cup action at Chelsea.

This would be the first time all season that Leeds end a Championship game week in top spot, with Leicester, and on a handful of occasions Ipswich Town, having led the way all season.

However, an incredible run of 12 wins in 13 league matches since the turn of the New Year has seen Leeds cut the gap from 17 points, to just three, in the matter of two-and-a-half-months.

Speaking on the latest episode of the LS11 Podcast, Ben Parker has tipped Leeds to come away with a 3-0 win over Millwall at Elland Road on Sunday, which would be enough to move into first place.

That result would represent yet another clean sheet for Leeds, who have conceded just three goals since the turn of the New Year, none of which have actually come from open play.

That said, Millwall are certainly set to pose a much tougher test than they would have done perhaps a month ago, with Neil Harris having drastically turned their form around.

Since returning for a second spell as manager, Harris has picked up 10 points from four matches, a run which included a 2-1 win at Leeds’ promotion rivals Southampton.

Harris will certainly have his players up for this considering his experience of the fixture as a player and manager, and he couldn’t resist a little dig at Leeds about his record earlier this week.

However, hopefully with a nice nine-day break Leeds are fully rested and recovered and ready to hit the ground running before the international break.
