'I will bring you': Former international tells £175k-a-week Tottenham player to leave and join his old club

The international break is now in full flow with players joining up with their National Teams ahead of the next couple of weeks – and plenty of Tottenham Hotspur stars will be in action, like Richarlison.

Richarlison, 26, has been on fire this term. He has scored 11 goals in 26 games, and laid on three assists for Ange Postecoglou‘s side. He will be hoping to take that form into Brazil’s next two games this month.

Peter Taylor shared how impressed he had been by Richarlison’s attitude, which has come under the microscope over the years. Timo Werner says he is really enjoying playing alongside the Brazil attacker.

Brazil are preparing for two away games – firstly against England, and then Spain. The £175k-a-week man has 10 goals in 48 caps, and is in line to take his tally to 50 for Brazil during the international break.

Most players met up with their National Teams on Tuesday and Richarlison was no different, posting a picture on Instagram as he prepares to fly back to England – when Brazil face England on March 23.

What Edmundo Souza said to Tottenham striker Richarlison

Richarlison is one of those players that has often played a lot better for his country, than he has at club level. That remains to be the case, despite impressing at Spurs this season. He is admired in Brazil.

Not just among fans. Clearly, former Brazil star Edmundo Souza – who played 39 times for Brazil – is a big fan of the former Watford and Everton attacker. Souza knows a striker when he sees one, certainly.

He scored 10 goals in his 39 caps for Brazil, and was part of the Brazil squad that reached the final of the 1998 World Cup. During his career, he also played four times for Vasco, in four different spells.

Also a pundit for Brazilian TV, Edmundo responded to Richarlison’s Instagram in the comments – and urged Richarlison to return to his home nation and join his beloved Vasco. A very unlikely move.
