Erling Haaland says Man City would be so much better if they signed one Arsenal star

Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland has named the one Arsenal player who would make his side so much stronger.

Mikel Arteta has built a fantastic squad at the Emirates. The Gunners are one of the best teams in Europe right now, and many of our players are good enough to start for most other sides in the world.

The international break is currently going on, but everyone’s thoughts are about the big game once domestic football resumes – Manchester City vs Arsenal.

Haaland, who is currently away with Norway, has been speaking about Arsenal’s upcoming visit to the Etihad.

Erling Haaland names the Arsenal player who would improve Manchester City

Arsenal don’t have a great record against Manchester City in recent years, but we are a very different side now.

Mikel Arteta has already got one over Pep Guardiola this season. Gabriel Martinelli scored the winner in a 1-0 victory at the Emirates back in October.

Manchester City will go into the game at the Etihad as the favourites, but Arsenal have every chance of completing the double over the defending Premier League champions.

One player who will be key for us is our skipper Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian is one of the best players in the Premier League. When he has a good game, Arsenal get the three points more often than not.

Erling Haaland knows Odegaard very well having played with him on multiple occasions for Norway. He has now admitted that the Arsenal captain would make Manchester City better if Guardiola signed him.

When asked if Odegaard would strengthen City, Haaland told VG: “Yes, I think so. there’s a good player, and a player that plays for our rivals.

“He’s just signed a new contract, so it’s not a topic, but at City, we have a lot of best players in the world.”

Martin Odegaard’s stats when Arsenal beat Manchester City

When Arsenal beat Manchester City back in October, Pep Guardiola knew Martin Odegaard was the danger man. Players hate playing against him.

The champions did very well to contain the Norway international, limiting him to as little space as possible every time he got on the ball.

Odegaard, however, had a decent game. According to SofaScore, the 25-year-old had 61 touches of the ball and completed 30 of his 36 passes. He also registered two key passes.

The Arsenal captain did his bit off the ball as well. He pressed brilliantly, and then made three tackles and an interception to help us win the game.

Manchester City will try to stop Odegaard again when we face them, but the Norwegian will back himself to create chances, just like he always does.
