‘Frustrating’: Robbie Fowler says Liverpool have a 24-year-old player who really annoys him sometimes

Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world, but, at times, it does feel like they don’t always play to the best of their abilities.

Against Manchester United at the weekend was a prime example, the Reds had their rivals in the palm of their hands, only to let the result slip, and the same could be said of their games against the likes of Luton and even Manchester City this season.

The Reds are brilliant, but they can be frustrating at times.

Speaking to Redmen TV, Robbie Fowler has been discussing Liverpool’s current squad, and he says that there’s one player who he does find rather frustrating at times – Darwin Nunez.

Darwin Nunez can be annoying

Fowler spoke about the 24-year-old.

“You just mentioned Jota, when he plays he’s a handful and he scores goals. We’ve said all the superlatives we can about Mo Salah, he’s been incredible at Liverpool and obviously Darwin Nunez. Ok, there are times when he can be a little frustrating, but as a Liverpool fan you know he will give you everything. He will score goals and he will be a handful and he will get the fans on his side,” Fowler said.

Darwin Nunez can improve so much

Fowler is right, Nunez is such a frustrating player at times because it feels like he has so much more to give.

He’s only annoying because you know he’s capable of so much more. His combination of speed and strength make him arguably the most dangerous striker in the Premier League, but his lack of composure and poor finishing ability can really make you tear your hair out at times.

Fowler says that he can find Nunez frustrating at times, and we can absolutely understand why.

Nunez has all the tools to be a top player, he just needs to find a bit of consistency.
