Gabriel Magalhaes and Antonio Rudiger left blown away by 24-year-old Arsenal man for his country yesterday

Both Gabriel Magalhaes and Antonio Rudiger have been left applauding one Arsenal player’s performance for his country yesterday.

With a host of Arsenal players away this week and next, Mikel Arteta will be praying for each and every one of his squad to return in top condition.

Both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel have withdrawn from their respective international commitments this week, but are fortunately expected to be fit for Manchester City.

It is definitely the point of the season in which clubs will loathe every second of their players being away, even if they’ll also be happy for what they are achieving internationally.

All that being said, there were certainly no issues for Kai Havertz last night whilst starting up front for Germany against France.

Julian Nagelsmann decided to revert Havert to a similar false nine role which he’s been playing for Arsenal this time around, having experimented with the 24-year-old at left-back in the past.

And it was certainly a decision that paid dividends, with Havertz playing 80 minutes and scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win.

Arsenal star Kai Havertz delivered another outstanding performance for his country yesterday

As you may expect, the Arsenal man took to Instagram to celebrate his performance for his country yesterday.

Havertz shared four photos, including one of him celebrating his goal with Jamal Musiala and wrote a caption of: “Road to Germany 2024”, in reference to the Euros this summer.

As you would imagine, the comment section was full of good will, with both Havertz’s club and country fans delighted to see him playing so well.

Arsenal teammate Gabriel simply left a couple of congratulatory emojis whereas Antonio Rudiger wrote “Kai” and left a fire emoji too.

An excellent night for the Arsenal man and his country yesterday, form that fans will hope to see continue to the Etihad next Sunday.

It’s not guaranteed that Arteta will put Havertz up top again, Gabriel Jesus may enter the thinking with the German dropping deeper, but similarly there seems little need to tinker.

But all said and done, fans will just be delighted to see Havertz oozing with confidence, a player on a completely different trajectory a few months ago.

All that being said, German media did spot one thing Havertz could improve on moving forwards.
