Wisbech Town will expect no favours from the club's former managerial team when they return to Fountain Fresh Park with Skegness Town on Tuesday night.
The Lilywhites will likely have former Fenmen management duo Danny Brooks and Leon Mettam in their squad as they chase a promotion place through the play-offs.
Skegness Town are eight points clear in the final play-off spot as the league season draws closer to a conclusion.
Fenmen boss Alex Street said: "It's on to Tuesday night at home against a play-off contending Skegness side who we know will be physical and hard to beat.
"We'll embrace that and try to get a result on Tuesday."
Wisbech showed good battling qualities at the weekend, coming from two goals down at the break to draw 2-2 with mid-table Newark & Sherwood United.
Reflecting on the game, Street said: "Obviously the wind was a massive problem, blowing straight down towards one of the goals and first half I actually thought we did okay.
"Newark like to move the ball around so with the wind behind them and shooting with the wind it has actually done them a favour.
"The goals we let in were really poor, which I'm disappointed with, as the last couple of weeks I thought as a team we've defended very well.
"It was a collection of errors for the first goal and then a set-piece and we don't deal with it. Fair play to them because not many teams do set-pieces like that at this level on a bobbly pitch.
"The lad hasn't hit it the cleanest but it has somehow snuk in the goal again. I had a bit of a moan about it at half-time and then we changed formation and I told the players that we've got to go and have a go.
"We pressed them high, limited to them few chances and 2-2 was probably a fair result. They could have had a penalty and we've had a man sent-off so that probably evens that out.
"We showed good character, especially this time of the season. It would have been easy to roll over and accept being 2-0 at half-time and I think this team would have done that 10 games ago.
"It shows that little bit of fight now towards the end of the season and something they are giving the club and the fans and that's what I want to see.
"There's only a couple of games left and it would be easy just to count the games down to the end of the season.
"They showed a bit of fight and character and I'm proud of what they did that second half. We're not the best team away from home but that takes good character and know how to manage a game like that."
A sloppy first half from the 14th-place Fenmen saw the home side register in the 24th and the 33rd minutes of their United Counties Premier North clash on Saturday.
The visitors pulled one back in the 51st minute when Michael Frew got on the end of a Dan George goal kick to dink the keeper for his third Fenmen goal of the season.
And they equalised in the 74th minute when Frew was kicked in the head and substitute Andre Williams converted his sixth of the campaign from the penalty spot.
The drama continued in the 84th minute when Oli Williams was red carded for a high foot.
