Bob Wilson has admitted that he is worried that one Arsenal star may see his career come to an end by the time he is just 25.
Arsenal have been absolutely outstanding over the last couple of years. Mikel Arteta has guided the Gunners back into the Premier League title conversation after years in, by the club’s standards, the wilderness.
What is so exciting for Arsenal fans is that the large majority of the squad does not even appear to have peaked yet. Arsenal have so many players in their early-to-mid 20s, with many of the superstars in their ranks boasting the potential to improve further.
However, Gunners legend Bob Wilson is concerned that one member of the squad may not get the chance to realise his full potential.

Bukayo Saka is enjoying yet another incredible season for Arsenal. The 22-year-old has scored 13 goals and contributed eight assists in the Premier League. And that is despite arguably not being at his best for some of the campaign.
Arsenal have complained about the treatment Saka gets from opponents, and the lack of protection from the referees.
And speaking to The Telegraph, Wilson has insisted that the England international is in serious danger of missing out on a long career.
“What drives me demented is we have one of the best young players and, if we aren’t careful, football will lose him by the time he is 24 or 25 because Bukayo Saka will have been kicked out of the game,” he said.
“Referees don’t seem to see or understand it. There are always a minimum of two players within five yards of Saka and often a third. If they can’t stop him, they kick him.
“People say, ‘What do you mean? That’s too dramatic’. I say there has not been a more kicked player in the Premier League than Bukayo Saka. If he is facing in an attacking position, and he is taking them on, that is the time I worry. I really worry for Bukayo.”
Gunners legend may not be the only one concerned about Bukayo Saka
It would definitely be a massive shame, even as a neutral, if Saka was kicked out of the game. Obviously, it is a compliment to how good he is that defenders have to revert to dirty tactics to keep him quiet. But that will be little consolation to him each time he is fouled.
The good news is that Saka has been so consistent for Arsenal, both in terms of his form and his availability. It is remarkable how rarely he seems to miss out on games.
Hopefully, that run continues for years to come. But it is alarming that Wilson feels that there is a question mark over that right now.
