Travel alert: Trespassers block rail travel from between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads

Rail services between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads are delayed due to trespassers.

Emergency services reported earlier today (Monday) that a member of public was on the wrong side of a bridge in the Ealing Broadway area, blocking rail lines.

But the person has now been apprehended by police and all lines are expected to reopen by 4pm.

London Buses has agreed to accept tickets for Great Western Railway (GWR) customers on any reasonable route in the area between Slough and London Paddington.

Chiltern Railways is accepting GWR customers between London Marylebone and Oxford.

South Western Railway is accepting GWR customers between Salisbury, Basingstoke, Reading and Windsor & Eton Riverside and London Waterloo.

MTR Crossrail is accepting GWR customers between Reading and London Paddington.

London Underground is accepting GWR customers via any reasonable route.

West Midlands Railway is accepting GWR customers between Worcester stations and Birmingham New Street.

Avanti West Coast is accepting GWR customers between Birmingham New Street and London Euston.
