Troy Deeney says Arsenal have an attacker who’s actually even better than Rafael Leao

Arsenal have so much attacking talent on their books right now it’s scary.

The likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard have been fantastic this season, while Kai Havertz is also finding his feet at the Emirates now.

However, the jewel in the crown at Arsenal is still undoubtedly Bukayo Saka.

Indeed, the England international remains the Gunners’ most important attacking player, and he’s kicked onto another level yet again this season.

Speaking to ESPN on TikTok, Troy Deeney has been discussing some of the best wingers in the world, and he made an interesting claim about Saka.

Deeney ranked Saka ahead of the likes of Raheem Sterling and Alejandro Garnacho, while he also put the Arsenal star above AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.

Bukayo Saka is better than Rafael Leao

Deeney gave his verdict on the Arsenal star.

“Saka or Sterling?” Deeney was asked.

“Saka,” Deeney said.

“Saka or Garnacho?” Deeney was asked.

“Saka,” Deeney said.

“Saka or Leao?” Deeney was asked.

“Saka,” Deeney said.

Bukayo Saka is one of the best in the world

While it’s a big claim to state that Saka is better than Leao, we have to agree with Deeney here.

As much as we like Leao as a player, Serie A isn’t exactly on the same level as the Premier League these days, and Saka has now been doing it at the very top level for a long time.

On top of that, Saka has also been making an impact for England at the past two international tournaments, and while he’s not yet had that big Champions League moment to announce himself as a star on that stage, we can’t imagine he’s too far off establishing himself in that competition too.

Make no mistake about it, Saka is one of the best wingers in the world these days, and Arsenal are very lucky to have him.
