Noni Madueke claims Tottenham have a £22m player who’s even better than Phil Foden

Noni Madueke has claimed that Tottenham actually have a player who is better than Phil Foden.

As many will know, Foden has been one of the very best players in the Premier League this season.

The England international has been the difference-maker for Manchester City time and time again this season, and if Pep Guardiola’s side win the Premier League, he’ll very much be in that Player of the Year conversation.

However, according to Madueke, taking part in a player ranking challenge on Pro Direct Soccer’s TikTok page, Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son is actually better than Foden.

Heung-Min Son is better than Phil Foden

Madueke took part in this ranking challenge, and he made a few interesting calls.

The Chelsea winger put the £22m Tottenham star just ahead of Foden in his ranking, and that is a very interesting and controversial claim.

Foden has been almost faultless this season, and while Son has been fantastic, we can’t quite get on board with this view.

Phil Foden has been incredible

Heung-Min Son will go down as a Premier League great, there’s no doubt about that, but at the age of just 23, Foden may well have surpassed the South Korean’s legacy already.

Foden has already won every trophy there is to win with Manchester City – playing a key role in a number of those triumphs.

Meanwhile, Son is still waiting on his first trophy with Tottenham Hotspur, and as good as he has been for Spurs as a whole, he’s had seasons where he’s not been that impactful.

In terms of a CV, Foden outshines Son by some way, and, in our view, he’s also the better player where pure technical ability is concerned as well.

Son and Foden are both bona fide world-class stars, but, for our money, Foden is the slightly better player between these two.
