March Town manager Ash Taylor has hailed the club's supporters in a week that the Hares could clinch their play-off place in the United Counties League Premier Division South.
The fifth-place Hares, who are at Eynesbury tonight, need a maximum of two wins from five games to achieve their play-off dream.
Taylor's side are just two points off St Neots in fourth spot in the standings heading into the Eynesbury clash.
They were forced to dig in during the second half against Lutterworth Town before clinching the three points with a 1-0 win in front of almost 300 supporters at the GER.
Taylor said: "The fans have been amazing. Even when things haven't gone how we've wanted them to go and we've had a difficult afternoon, they've supported us.
"That's key. I think the fans can see that the players are giving everything for the shirt. The second half against Lutterworth wasn't the prettiest but they've applauded us off because they can see we've dug in.
"I've said time and time again, I think we've got the best supporters in the league. When we attack the scaffold end here it's difficult for other teams."
Matt Foy gave March the lead against 14th-place Lutterworth in just the fifth minute of the United Counties Premier South clash with his tenth of the campaign and that’s how it stayed until the final whistle.
"It was a tough game," admitted Taylor.
"Lutterworth are a side who are third in the form league right now. They'd been on a good run, getting some good results so we knew it would be a difficult game.
"The first half we controlled it and we should have been out of sight, but we weren't ruthless enough in the final third.
"We scored early and created other opportunities to score more. We spoke about it at half-time, and need to understand that when you smell blood you have to kill off teams and we didn't do that today.
"The main thing is that we got the win and keep ourselves in a good position. Two weeks in a row now results have gone our way but we need to keep focusing on ourselves, we don't spend loads of time thinking about our opposition.
"I was pleased with the clean sheet as the lads gave everything and put their bodies on the line in the second half and that replicates why we got a clean sheet."
On Saturday, March are at Bugbrooke St Michaels before a derby at Yaxley on Bank Holiday Monday.
Taylor added: "It's a difficult kind of week with the fixture schedule and we had a few niggles today but it's about the squad we've put together dealing with those situations.
"We've had to deal with that throughout the season and when we have had injuries we've shown that we've got good strength in depth in the squad.
"We've got to go into those games as positive as we can and try to get the best points return we can."
Their final two games are at home against Easington Sports and Racing Club Warwick on Saturdays, April 6 and 13.
