Meghan Markle set to 'sell makeup and skincare' through American Riviera Orchard

Meghan Markle is reportedly set to sell makeup and skincare as well as homewares through her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, announced the launch of her new business venture earlier this month, as she teased the brand in a soft focus clip that featured never-before-seen snippets of Meghan and Prince Harry’s mansion in Montecito, California, where they live with their children Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet. Trademark documents revealed Meghan’s lifestyle brand will focus on homewares, as well as table linen, cookware, and glassware, as well as a surprise line of nut butters, oils and jams.

Now, Meghan is being compared to Gwyneth Paltrow, who founded the hugely successful Goop brand, as she reportedly aims to introduce cosmetics and beauty products into American Riviera Orchard. According to a trademark application extension, the brand will now include an array of products such as fragrance, body lotion and haircare.

The new list of products set to be sold under the American Riviera Orchard brand include bath and shower gels, salts, bath soap, bar soap, hand soaps, body creams, bath oil, body lotions, cosmetics, and body oil, as well as scented oils, air fragrance reed diffusers, room fragrances, and incense. There is also plans to expand into pet grooming, with pet shampoo and conditioner also featured on the trademark application, obtained by the Daily Mail.

It was suggested Meghan could rake in more than six-figures in sales in the first weeks of American Riviera Orchard’s launch, but it has not been revealed when the products will go on sale. In the video announcing her new lifestyle brand, various items could be spotted on Meghan’s kitchen counter, including oils, decanters and mixing bowls, as well as copper pans and napkins.

The Duchess of Sussex previously helmed her lifestyle website The Tig, which featured an array of articles about food and wine, as well as countless recipes published by Meghan herself. The website was shut down ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, and her latest business venture is seen as a relaunch of her blog, which was hugely popular with fans during Meghan’s time on the legal drama Suits.

As well as a variety of homewares and pieces for the kitchen, Meghan is also planning on releasing her own cookbooks, as well as recipes to download online, amid rumours she’s set to front her own cookery show. It was reported that the mother-of-two had teamed up with Netflix to launch her own series in conjunction with American Riviera Orchard, ahead of the Sussexes’ massive deal with the streaming giant ending in 2025.
