West Ham's marathon man plays 180 minutes in four days for his country and bags two assists

West Ham United have plenty of players currently away with their respective nations on international duty.

In fact, a grand total of eight West Ham stars jetted off for international duty over the past 10 days or so with their countries.

David Moyes and the Hammers fans will be praying that everyone returns to Rush Green in one piece but at the same time, it’s nice to see our players do well playing for their nations.

The current international break has been a mixed bag for the West Ham stars away with their countries. Some players have excelled, whilst others have experienced disappointment.

Meanwhile, some of our stars including the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Michail Antonio and Emerson Palmieri didn’t even join their international sides due to a variety of different reasons.

However, there was one Hammer who really stood out for his country over the past week…

It’s only three days before the Hammers are in action again, thakfully!

The two-week international breaks are such a grind to get through, but at least that is it all done for the season now and we can all focus on West Ham again.

One of our players will now be heading back to the club in fine spirits after a really successful trip away with his country.

Tomas Soucek played a pivotal role for the Czech Republic during their most recent two games.

The Czechs recorded back-to-back 2-1 wins against Norway and Armenia respectively over the past four days.

Soucek captained his side in both games, bagged two assists and played the full 180 minutes. The man really is a machine isn’t he.

The 29-year-old has played 3,181 minutes for West Ham in all competitions this season, with 2,239 of those coming in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

Only Jarrod Bowen has played more minutes for the Hammers in all competitions so far this term.

West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek was a very busy man on international duty. I’m just hoping that he’s fresh for the remaining two months of the season when he returns to Rush Green.
