Jude Bellingham and Tammy Abraham left blown away by £12m Aston Villa player last night

Both Jude Bellingham and Tammy Abraham have now been applauding an Aston Villa player for his country last night.

Unai Emery will have been watching these international fixtures with bated breath, knowing he can’t afford to lose any of his key players.

Villa now have a vital run of games in their pursuit to finish fourth and also win the Europa Conference League.

They start against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, three points made even more crucial by the trip to the Etihad that follows.

And given most of the break’s international fixtures have now concluded, the ‘business end’ of the season has well and truly arrived.

Moreover, following his unfortunate knee injury which saw him miss a run of important games earlier this season, Ezri Konsa will be vital to everything Villa still hope to achieve.

Of course, Konsa made his full debut for England last night, playing 90 minutes at right-back in the 2-2 draw against Belgium.

And as you might expect, the defender took to Instagram after the game to celebrate the milestone, a start he’ll hope will be the first of many.

Aston Villa star Ezri Konsa congratulated after making full England debut last night

Konsa uploaded a collection of four photos with the caption: “Great feeling to make my full debut and get 90 minutes in. Back to Villa for a big end to the season.”

Jude Bellingham was among a host of players to reply, leaving a comment saying “my guy”.

And with similar sentiments, former Villa striker Tammy Abraham simply left a heart emoji.

It’s been an incredible season for Konsa thus far, who really has enjoyed a huge leap in reputation given his consistent high-level performances.

There’s no doubt that Unai Emery has played a huge part in that improvement since he’s arrived at Villa, and he’ll also be very proud to see his £12m-defender excelling for his country last night.

But ultimately there won’t be a lot of time for celebration, and heads will be quickly turning to that tie against Wolves as stated.

That being said, Darren Bent did recently share his thoughts on Konsa ultimately making England’s squad for the Euros.
