Eight people have been arrested after police raided addresses across the Thames Valley yesterday (Tuesday).
Thames Valley Police carried out six warrants at addresses in West Berkshire and South Oxfordshire and the Vale of the White Horse under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
A quantity of class A, B and C drugs, cash and weapons were seized across the properties.
Seven of the eight people arrested were from West Berkshire.
A 36-year old female, from Woolhampton, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and being in possession of a banned breed (fighting dog) without an exemption.
A 38-year old man, from Woolhampton, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs and being in possession of a banned breed (fighting dog) without an exemption.
A 20-year old man, from Thatcham, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A, B and C drugs and being in possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
A 65-year old man, from Thatcham, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and being in possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
A 37-year old man, from Thatcham, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs, cultivation of cannabis, and being in possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
A 27-year old man, from Newbury, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
A 35-year old man, from Hermitage, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and being in possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
In addition, a 25-year-old man, from Grove, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.
All of the suspects have been released on conditional bail.
Senior investigating officer DI Bill Sykes said: “There is a lot work going on behind the scenes to help tackle the possession and supply of drugs across the Thames Valley.
“I hope these warrants demonstrate that we take reports of drug related offences seriously and will take action to deal with criminality in your local area.
“The information from the public around the drug supply offences in the Thames Valley plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.

Yesterday police in West Berkshire posted on Facebook that it had executed a number of warrants in the Thatcham area and warned the public to expect a heightened police presence throughout the morning.
