Ollie Watkins told why he won’t be going to the Euro’s

Watkins has been on fire for Villa this season. Under Unai Emery, Villa Park looks set to host Champions League football next season and much of that can be put down to their striker.

Many would rightly presume that it is a given that Watkins is on the plane to Germany in the summer. However, since the return of Toney things have looked more doubtful.

Now, after the recent run of international fixtures, Watkins has been told by one ESPN journalist that despite being a better footballer, Toney is tougher to play against.

One positive from the international break from a Villa perspective was Enzri Konsa. The defender was finally rewarded for his performances in the Villa starting XI with a full debut for England.

Konsa started in the 2-2 draw against Belgium, being deployed as a right-back. It was no doubt a memorable night for the defender who received widespread praise and even a message from England’s saviour.

After a post from Konsa after the game, Bellingham replied reading ‘my guy’, with plenty of other players sending positive vibes.
