Epperstone’s Harry Gamble to race for Elite Motorsport in the Ginetta GT Academy series at Oulton Park

A third Epperstone will be taking to the race track this weekend in the Ginetta GT Academy series.

Multiple Ginetta Cars championship title winning team, Elite Motorsport, will bid for further one-make success by contesting the Ginetta GT Academy series again, with the seven-event championship getting underway at Oulton Park over Easter, writes Paul Horton.

Elite will run Harry Gamble – brother of George and Tom. Tom won four races in the last four events with Elite to wrap up the junior title in 2017.

Twenty-five year old Harry enters the series with no previous motorsport experience but recently posted the sixth overall fastest combined time in testing at Oulton at the wheel of Elite’s G56 GTA Ginetta, which is powered by a 3.7-litre V6 Ford engine producing 270bhp.

Harry said, “Although this is my first taste of racing, not even having done any karting, I’m a competitive person and although I’ll essentially be racing for some fun, my aim is definitely the rookie title.

Ed Ives, team manager, added: “We are really pleased to announce that Harry will be running with us in the Ginetta GT Academy Championship.

It was great to see the Gamble name on the time sheets and back with Elite recently at Oulton.

I have some very fond memories of previously working with the Gamble family and I’m excited to see how fast we can develop Harry – and hopefully to be as quick as both his brothers Tom and George ”
