Owen Hargreaves says 'absolutely brilliant' West Ham player will leave the London Stadium

Owen Hargreaves has suggested that one West Ham United player will leave the London Stadium in the summer.

West Ham took on Newcastle in the Premier League this afternoon, and Owen Hargreaves was on punditry duty for TNT Sport.

Hammers boss David Moyes has built an incredible squad at the London Stadium over the past few years, with some real standout names now amongst his ranks.

We are currently fighting for a place inside the top seven in the Premier League table and have a Europa League quarter-final against Bayer Leverkusen to look forward to in 12 days time.

On the whole, things are very positive at West Ham right now. The sheer volume of exceptional footballers we have at the club is evidence of that.

And Hargreaves singled out one Hammer in particular for praise today…

Owen Hargreaves raves about ‘absolutely brilliant’ West Ham player

The former Manchester United, Bayern Munich and England star was at St James’ Park for our clash with Newcastle this afternoon.

Hargreaves singled out Lucas Paqueta as our best player, when speaking live on TNT Sports today (Saturday March 30th, 12:02pm):

“This guy Paqueta was easily the best player for Brazil against England he was absolutely amazing. The problem is, the way he’s playing, he’ll probably end up at any of the best teams in the world, he’s that good.”

Paqueta has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City before the start of the 2024/25 campaign. It was claimed just before the turn of the new year that the Brazilian has his heart set on playing for Man City next season.

Pretty much every single Hammers fan will be fully aware that the 26-year-old’s future most probably does not lie in the East End of London.

However, he’s still extremely popular with the London Stadium faithful. Let’s just enjoy him while he’s here.

Owen Hargreaves is clearly a huge fan of the West Ham United star, and that says a lot about the Brazilian’s talent.
