Take a hands-free photo

If you’ve ever taken a group picture then you know that hand placement is crucial. But as it turns out, you can cut out awkward hand gestures entirely and instead use the power of your voice.

To do this, head over to the settings and click on Accessibility, followed by Voice Control. Once you’ve turned on the voice command function, you can get Siri to do just about anything.

Sign your documents

Most of our everyday lives are now on the front of our screens, and sadly, that includes signing documents. Though you can’t whack out a pen and sign on your LED screen, the iPhone does have a built-in signature feature.

To access, all you need to do is screenshot the document and click the thumbnail on the bottom left side of your screen. You should see the option for a signature, which you can resize and move to your heart’s content.

Silence unknown callers

Random numbers popping up on your phone have a habit of inducing bouts of anxiety, even in the technologically savvy. Who knew you could get rid of them entirely?

In the phone portion of your settings app, you should see an option to “silence unknown callers.” This feature kindly silences callers and moves them directly into your voicemail where you will receive a notification.

Be careful though, as this could pose an issue if you’re waiting for a call from an unknown number.

Caption your images

If your iPhone photo albums are as chaotic as your homescreen, then you might need this nifty feature. By swiping up on an image, you can add your very own Instagram-style caption.

The true genius of the function lies in its potential for organization, as users can search for specific pictures using keywords in the caption.

Speed up that charging

Though the tech has come miles since the days of hours-long charging, filling your battery bar is still somewhat frustrating.

But by simply turning on Airplane Mode, you can cut that time in half. This is largely because Airplane Mode prevents background operations like GPS roaming.

No more scrolling

When you’re four years deep in your Instagram crush’s feed, scrolling back to the top is a task and a half. But it doesn’t need to be that way.

To jump instantly to the top of the page, all you need to do is tap the top of the screen. The cheeky iPhone hacks also works on web pages.
